DhammaSindhu is situated near the small village Bada, 22 km west of the city of Mandvi, in Kutch Dist. Gujarat State.

To reach Dhammasindhu Vipasana Centre, Kutch has
  • 2 Railway stations – Gandhidham and Bhuj, 2 Airports – Kandla (Gandhidham) & Bhuj.

From Gandhidham Railway station

one take a sharing trax ( locally called Toofan) to Mandvi (fare appx Rs 150 to 170 per person.)

The route from Gandhidham to Mandvi is 98 km, and from Mandvi to Bada is 25km.

From Bhuj Railway Station

One may hire a private taxi straight to the center (appx fare Rs. 1800 to 2000) or may option for Share-Taxis (called Toofan locally) operate very frequently on Bhuj to Mandvi route. fare appx Rs.150/-per head.
or also Public Buses are available. Take an auto rickshaw from Railway station to Bhuj Bus stand (fare – sharing- Rs 20/30, Private – Rs 40/50 )
– From Bhuj Bus station take a Bus to Mandvi Bus station. Fare Rs 45 to 75.
– The route from Bhuj to Mandvi is 60 km, and from Mandvi to Bada is 25km.

From Ahmedabad, Vadodara to Mandvi

Some Private luxury buses are also start from many areas area of Ahmedabad. The preferred private luxury buses are :

Mandvi to Vipassana kendra,Bada (25 km)

  • Share rickshaws to Bada operating from Azad chowk of Mandvi. Fare Rs 30/40.
  • Share rickshaws to Layja. These are more frequent + preferred & then one can get rickshaws from Layja to Bada, just 7 kms. Fare Rs 20/30.
  • Rickshaws are also available near Mandvi ST depot.
  • Direct auto Rickshaws are available appx. fare Rs 300.
